1941 Buick Any - 1941 Buick Super Street Rod Project

Description

What it is: 1941 Buick Super (that's the 4-door model). Been acid dipped to remove the rust and has developed a surface skim of rust since being last worked on. Nothing major.

Floor Pans have been fabricated and installed.

Trunk Pan fabricated and installed.

Doors need to be hung and aligned. I have the hinges which are still in good condition.

Engine is a completely rebuilt 500 cid Caddy engine with new performance rocker arms, high performance camshaft and lifters and Edlebrock high rise intake. Engine is installed.

Front clip (suspension) is from a 1970 Camaro and has been completely rebuilt. Sub-frame was installed to give the car an "in the weeds" stance. Looks killer. Power steering and disk brakes.

Transmission is completely rebuilt 400 turbo from same year Caddy. Transmission is installed.

Drive shaft is installed.

Frame has been sand blasted and painted with frame black "tough as nails" paint.

Dual Exhaust - Aluminized pipe, thru the frame style routing into Flowmaster mufflers. Installed.

Fuel line and brake lines run. Fuel lines include return line for future fuel injection stepup.

Rear End is from 1970 Camaro and has been installed. 3.08 gears. Open Carrier. 10-bolt. Car sits right.

I have a tilt / telescoping steering column from a 1976 Caddy that will go with the car.

Brand New Radiator is from Walker Radiator in Memphis and has a Cooling Components fan and shroud unit as well as a Condenser. Radiator brackets have been fabricated. Brand New cost $1,000.

I have all the glass and reveals and trim and headliner bows. Some window glass may need replacing, but it's all there. I have most of the exterior trim, too.

Have had this project for 15 years and now it's time to move it along to a new owner for finishing. I have, of course, much more invested in this car than what we are asking for it. But I believe in a fair deal and this is a fair deal for what you would be getting. Remember - CASH talks.

I also have another 500 Caddy Engine and Trans that will go with the car. I also have a set of seats from a Cutlass that would go with the car. I also have a set of seats from the 1976 Caddy - both front and rear - that will go with the car.

Sorry, I don't have any photos available currently. The photos of the build to date were destroyed in a fire. I will be making some more photos now that my wife and I have decided to sell this project. I will deliver it to the Nashville, Knoxville, Chattanooga, and nearby areas for you.
