1950 Lancia Aurelia B50 PF Cabriolet

Thank you for considering this exceptionally rare 1950 Lancia B50 Cabriolet. One of approximately 265 cars originally built and one of only a handful still known to exist in its original Pinninfarina alloy body work. No two cars were finished exactly the same and all were built to order.

Finished in a dark blue over terracotta colored interior with gray carpets and beige top. The car is matching numbers according to the previous owner who purchased the car in 2005 from Auto Classic in Turin, Italy. Prior, the car was owned by the same family for over 20 years. During that ownership it was restored, then sold as part of the estate in 2004/2005. This car is an example of an older restoration (approximately 18-20 years old) and was completed to a very high standard. While the car currently lacks appropriate documentation as to its owner/restoration history (we are currently researching this further) it is evident through thorough inspection that the car is very correct and has been well cared for.

The car is currently up to date with new brakes, clutch, and transmission input shaft seal. Cosmetically this car has seen a complete restoration, and has aged nicely to that of a 2- driver. The body is 100% straight and corrosion free with those imperfections one would assume in a 20 year old paint job. There are a few blemishes here and there, but nothing of major concern. The chrome is all there with proper stampings and has recently been replated. All chrome inserts, emblems and original badges and bits are present. The body is straight with excellent hood, door, and trunk gaps. The wheel covers are in nice shape as well. The top appears to also be the same vintage as the restoration but is in no need of attention either, it's excellent. All windows appear to be original and crack/fade free. The rubber molding is showing its age in spots and could use replacing if deemed necessary but ultimately can still be enjoyed the way it is. The interior cosmetics are consistent with the exterior; they show moderate use but are in excellent condition with plush leather both front and rear with exceptional fit and finish throughout. Dash is complete including the original Condor radio; everything is in excellent condition with very nice patina. The interior includes many original pieces including an ashtray behind the front bench. Door jams are free of any paint chipping or related blemishes, door open/close is flawless. All interior bits work appropriately, all gauges work, windows go up and down etc... The trunk is clean and consistent with the rest of the car. Again, no rust or issues in the trunk.

Mechanically this car is completely up to date with new clutch, brakes, and seals where needed, as well as a complete tune up to run very well. It is believed that this examples Aurelia V6 (B10 series with 56 HP) did receive a complete rebuild at time of restoration, as evident by its superb running condition. The undercarriage shows no issues and is very straight and correct. Overall everything is in excellent order, appears to be up to date with nothing out of place, very nice floors and chassis rails with no issues. The car runs, drives, shifts and stops without any issues; all lights are in working order. Tires are still very usable and are free of any major rot.

Overall this is a very rare opportunity to own a 1950 Lancia B50 Cabriolet in excellent driver quality condition. A comprehensive detail has been completed inside and out and underneath to ensure a turnkey opportunity for any collector. Included in the sale is an original color sales brochure and top cover. Please inquire with any additional interest.

1950 Sunbeam Talbot 90 MK1 DHC

Monte Carlo, 1952- Stirling Moss brought his 1952 Sunbeam Talbot 90 MKII to a 2nd place finish, and later in 1955 to an outright win; a strong fact for a very unassuming car. The example on offer here lives up to these standards with ease, as a great driver with good history. This 1950 Sunbeam Talbot 90 MKI DHC, is the product of a 30 year old restoration of a long time CA black plate car. Finished today in a pale yellow over vibrant red interior, this particular example comes to us as a factory left hand drive DHC. As the only MKI known in the states, this rare opportunity offers you a lot of car for little money. With pedigree, this great weekend driver stands its ground with importance in British Motoring History.

Cosmetically, this Sunbeam reflects a nicely aged 30 year old restoration that was certainly completed to high standards when originally finished. Overall, this is a very straight example with good panel fitment throughout. All badges, emblems and chrome bits are present. The top is only two years old and is in excellent condition with great fit and finish. All glass is crack and fade free. Some of the rubber components are showing their age as is the chrome, but overall are presentable as is. The interior shows very well with no major issues to be disclosed. Clean door jams, excellent upholstery with great fit and finish, and the wood veneer are all still in excellent condition. The dash also shows well with proper knobs and switches all in working order.

Mechanically the car has seen proper servicing since the restoration over 30 years ago, never neglected this has always been a good running driving example and still is to this day. While it has seen little use in the past few months it has no trouble starting, running, driving, or braking. The engine bay is consistent with the rest of the car, and shows no issues with all of the proper tags in place. The undercarriage shows no rust issues and is very clean, as a former CA Black Plate car it was never a rusty example. It made its way to the east coast to its new enthusiast owner only 2 years ago.

All things considered, this is an excellent opportunity for any collector of enthusiast to own a very interesting early variant of the Sunbeam Talbot 90. Included in the sale are all of the original tools found neatly in the boot, owner’s manual, some service documentation, club newsletters and magazines, and some other extras as well. Please inquire with any additional interest.

1957 Ford Thunderbird

Stk. 1684 1957 Ford Thunderbird
Remember that scene in American Graffiti where Ron Howard is cruising town with his girlfriend in the front seat and Richard Dreyfuss is riding third wheel in the backseat? Then out of the blue, Suzanne Somers pulls up next to them in that absolutely dreamy T-Bird…well, if you ever wanted to relive that very American Graffiti moment…We've got your car! The Thunderbird was an icon long before the movie came out…and it has gone through quite a few changes over the years. But the '57 model has to be the most popular and adored of all. This particular T-Bird has been kept within the same family all its life and believe me when I say they spared no expense to bring her back to her former glory. Over $80,000 dollars was invested on a full frame-off, rotisserie restoration that is especially evident when you look underneath. The suspension and undercarriage is fully detailed in all the correct colors as it was when new…and it absolutely sparkles! Under the hood with functional hood scoop lies an original, numbers matching 312 ci Y-block power plant. It too is magnificent to behold. From its gleaming chrome air cleaner, finned aluminum valve covers and its super sanitary engine compartment, you will realize no stone has been left unturned in the revival of this beauty. As you nestle down into the intimate cockpit, you begin to take in all the attention to detail that Ford paid in creating these fine cars. The machine turned dash beckons you to brush your hand across it as you admire the compliment of fully functioning gauges it houses. The 3- spd transmission's control lever rises up from the floor to meet your hand comfortably and its tactile feel from gear to gear, inspires confidence that this car is all quality. But the biggest thrill of all is had when you thread that classic rectangular ignition key into the dash mounted ignition…and set that bird free. The whirling noise of the starter leads to the mixing of gasoline, air and ultimately, an intoxicating chortle that only a vintage Y-block can create. It lives and breaths, and waits for you to answer its call. Call 800-650-1055 or visit our website at www.autobarnclassiccars.com for more information. ALL VEHICLES SOLD "AS IS"

A little history… the car was my partner Jon’s mothers car, which was bought new in 1960. When my partner passed in 2004, the title was transferred to my name, so only one owner prior to me. It was refurbished in 2002, I have copies of all the work that was done to the vehicle in Minneapolis at Classic Auto and Repair Service which was completed in December 2002, totaling approximately $28,000.00 and an appraisal by Classic Auto Limousine Service, Inc. also in 2002 at $40,000.00. It’s been garaged in Truro MA since. Comes with a cover.
I am realistic that I will not get back or make a profit on the work done to the vehicle, I just want to recoup some of the money invested and get it out of the garage.

1964 Shelby Daytona

In 1964 the Shelby Daytona Coupe won the GT Class at Sebring and again, later, at the LeMans 24 Hour. It is no surprise that today it remains one of the most replicated cars due to its proportionate lines, performance, and pedigree. While there are many replicas available to the general public there are a few cars that are built above and beyond the rest to really bring out the best of what the original Daytona Coupe had to offer. The car on offer here is no exception; it has retained many period qualities during the build but has had a creative twist added to offer a slightly different appeal. The “Dan Rose Special” is a Peter Brock approved (documented) re-design of the Daytona Coupe. Once completed to original specs as a Blue with White Stripes and an already nicely finished replica; with a body by Bob Schumacher of Omaha Nebraska, and chassis by Shaun King of Wisconsin, it was originally built in 2004 for a Mr. Watson.

In 2007 the car was purchased by Dan Rose, this is where it began its transformation and many subtle changes, making it the car it is today. Much of the work has been completed by two main specialists: John Corson of Pine Plains, NY, and Wheels of Time, also in Pine Plains. The overall build quality and attention to detail is of the highest quality, especially for a replica. Utilizing a fiberglass monocoque on a 3” tubular safety cage and chassis with a 90” wheel base, all measured from the original, this car was built to spec. The artist and owner, Dan Rose, completed many design changes including many minor changes to the nose and hood, as well as lowering the top of the windshield and extending quarter windows past the B Pillar. Eliminating the spoiler, and finishing it with Trigo Halibrand-type wheels and a slightly different custom made Hushpower Exhaust, it has seen many creative touches. The interior was completed with once M&R three point harnesses aluminum seats and a nicely completed dash with Stewart-Warner Gauges.

The engine comes with a $10,000 build receipt showing it to be a C/M 427 Cobra Classic with a Holley 4-barrel street/strip with many dress up and performance additives. As a “427 Cobra Classic” the motor is actually a 351 bored to a 427, and then dressed as a period 427. 525 Horsepower (at the crank) is sent through a Tremec 5-speed to a 3.77:1 ratio 9” Detroit Locker rear end. The suspension components are fully adjustable coil over type along with disc brakes all the way around.

The condition of the car throughout is superb. The entire build has just over 1,700 miles on it and shows like new. The exterior is free of any blemishes or stone chips with excellent fit and finish throughout. The interior also shows well, it is new and free of any defects. The engine bay is tidy and clean with easy access. The undercarriage hardly shows any use at all and is consistent with the rest of the car.

All things considered, the “Dan Rose Special” is homage to one of the best GT cars known. Finished in striking colors, with impressive build quality, during a very creative but subtle re-design this car offers one of the best opportunities to purchase a Daytona Replica. Included in the sale are an extra set of keys and a lot of documentation including build photos etc… Please inquire with any additional interest.

I have for sale a 1961 Imperial Custom 4 door. Overall very good solid car and I believe is an excellent foundation for even basic restoration. It was my father's who passed in 2006 and had done some work to it prior to. The exhaust, transmission and brake system has been re-worked, a budget paint job, carpet & headliner. There are a number of misc parts & trim pieces, too. Last summer it developed what is likely a head gasket leak, blowing white smoke out of left pipe from dual exhaust. It also has developed an oil leak that is not yet substantial. The car is in Michigan, but spent a number of years in Florida. What is known to not function is the speedo, gas gauge and radio. Trunk "rim" needs service and lid needs new rubber. It has 413, push button trans, factory A/C, etc. Based on the information accumulated via numerous sources, I am reducing my "asking" to $7900 and will entertain reasonable offers. Feel free to pose any questions and additional images can be sent upon request as well. Thank you for any consideration.

1950 Oldsmobile 2 Door Jetback Model 88 Futuramic for sale in Mahwah, New Jersey.
Great history on this unique original muscle car from way back when cars like this were the original muscle cars of the era. I have in my possession an article from Street Rodder Magazine featuring this exact car from back in 1975, this Olds was 25 years old at the time and Al Kvarme from Belmont California would find specifically 1949 & 1950 Oldsmobile's and set them up for drag racing. Back in 2010 when I was fortunate enough to find this car from a friend I wrote Old Cars Weakley about this car and they liked it so much they made it one of their "Cars of the Week", please Google old weekly car of the week November 2010 and open up the article and read their story about my car. The great thing about that article is that Al Kvarme now in his late 80's read the article and gave me a call and shared with me some great insight about this car. He found this car back in 1975 in New Mexico in a junk yard, he could not believe his eyes the condition of this car, so he saved it and made it just the way he liked to do these cars. The sheet metal to this day is all original with no bondo or plastic and straight as an arrow. Back in 75 he did this car up with a 454 engine and the only modification was he had the rear wheel wells radiusesed and the wells were rolled perfectly, he nosed and decked the car but kept those great 88 Spears. He won first place at the Oakland Rod and Custom show BACK IN THE MID 70'S. Currently the underside is solid and the suspension is all cad plated and looks only a few years old. He had the interior completed by a Belmont California Leather craftsman in an orange and black rolled and pleated leather, you would think it was done recently, actually a year ago at a local show it one best interior, that is how nice it really is. The color is 1975 Porsche Blood Orange, this was reapplied in 2005 and looks as though it was done last year. The car currently has a fresh built Chevy 402 big block pushing over 500HP and only has a few hundred miles on her, with 9-5 compression and runs fine on pump gas. The previous owner drove in the Hot Rod power tour and that is documented in a Hot Rod article (I have a copy of this also). , This Olds is ready for the show circuit or take her to the drags. Speaking of the drags, this exact car was a back up in the movie Hot Rod in the 70's, this car ended up on the cutting room floor because it looked too fast and Al brought another without the modified rear wheel wells that was in the movie that lost to the willies Coupe (I also have a copy of that iconic classic movie that goes with this car) Let me tell you about this fun car, every show I take it to it is always a big hit. The engine runs beautifully and smooth the worked 400 Turbo automatic with shift kit and 2400 RPM stall converter shifts the car smoothly and crisp. The tach on the dash has a small crack on the face from vibration, the gauges on the top of the dash look great and the oil pressure is just where it should be. The back up lights are on a separate switch and work fine over the newly re-chromed spears, all the chrome is good and I have the front bumper and grille for the Olds also. A separate switch for the electric fan works the way it should. No radio and the wipers are not working, I never drove it in the rain but I have sealed the windshield with rainx. All the glass is in beautiful condition, mostly original and tinted. I have some really nice nostalgic decals on the windows right now. The exhaust runs through stock headers into side pipes, I had the shop install Super Traps to quiet her down a bit. As mentioned the interior is almost mint, one small mark on the drivers seat from wear. She has Line Lock and the brakes were just inspected and adjusted and the oil & filter changed and she was all lubed up ready to go on it's next trip. The Engine compartment is Zolotoned (GREAT LOOK) and new twin hollys on the original Weiand tunnel ram are dialed in just right. Give me a call to check out this Beast.
